Maui Scenery

Maui is one the prettiest of the Hawaiian islands.  The Maui scenery is something special and for nature lovers this is a great island to visit when taking a vacation.  You can drive around the island and see things like sugar cane fields, pineapple fields, rain forests, water falls, mountain peaks and more.
We happen to enjoy nature and the scenery so we enjoyed all the Maui scenery.  We hiked to the blue pools on the east coast of Maui, which was well worth the walk.  If you don't know what the blue pools are, it is a waterfall that isn't to far from the ocean on the east coast of Maui.

On the west coast of Maui is the blow hole ( a picture of the blow hole can be seen on the main page of this site).  You will want to be in decent shape if you plan on hiking down to the blow hole.  It doesn't look that far down to it, but when you get down to it, it is a long climb back up, so be sure you are in good enough shape to climb.  Also if you go down by the blow hole, don't climb up the rocks right next to the ocean as sometimes waves come up over these rocks. Also don't get to close to the blow hole opening.

We took a drive along Maui's west cost which has many different areas to pull off the road and look out over theMaui scenery photo ocean and west coast.  It was just amazing to sit up atop the cliffs and watch the large waves roll in and crash into the rocks below.

Also on the east side of Maui is the tropical rain forest, which has many hiking trails so you can explore.  You can find a tour company that will take you on the trails or you can do some research on the net or buy a book about Maui that shows you all the public trails.  If you decide to hike the trails to see more of the beautiful Maui scenery, be sure you take bottles of water with you. It does get hot when you are out hiking these trails and it could rain so bring a jacket.

We didn't get a chance to do this when we were in Maui, mainly because we didn't know about it until we got back from our vacation, but on the way up to Haleakala crater there is a place that you get stop to do a zip line tour.  Had we known about it while we were there we would have definitely checked it out as it looks like it would be a lot of fun.

There are so many things to see on the island of Maui, you will have to decide for yourself what things you want to see.
