Maui Rentals - Maui Condos - Maui Hotels

Maui Condo rental, stay at a hotel or rent a private home this is always a question on your mind once you decide to take a vacation to Maui. All have their advantages and disadvantages so you need to choose what you feel most comfortable with. Also you need to look at your budget and see which option best fits it as well.

On our vacation to Maui, we choose to go with the condos as we were looking for a place to stay that would also have a kitchen. The Maui condo with a kitchen allowed for us to choose whether or not we would eat at a restaurant or to stay at the condo and make our own meals. It worked out well for us as we mainly used it for our breakfast and then ate out for our other meals.

Now picking a place to stay was more of the challenge for us. We wanted to stay in southern Maui as it gets less rain then other parts of the island. After we knew that we wanted to stay in a condo in southern Maui it made finding a place a lot easier. We decided to stay in the small town of Kihei as we felt this would be a central location.

ion fit what we were looking for the best. We did some research on the web to find out about the condos prior to booking and found that some people loved them while others were not impressed. As far as we are concerned it was a nice place to stay, but then again we didn't go to Maui to spend all our time in the condo. We mainly just slept at the condo as our days will filled with different activities.

The town of Kihei is full of different condos and hotels to choose from. So why did we pick the condo that we did? It came down to location and pricing. There were other condos that were around the same price but the Castle Kamaole Sands is directly across the street from Kamaole Park III which has a very nice family beach. And with some of the research that we did, this beach was ranked as most popular by the locals which we thought would be good for our boys to be able to boogie board.

We also checked into renting a private home for our vacation in Maui, but most of the homes that we could have afforded to rent would have been in the up country part of Maui. This would have meant that we would have had to do more planning for when we wanted to visit a beach. With us renting a condo right across the street from a popular beach it made it a lot easier to just go and take a swim in the ocean then come back and take a shower.

There are several other condos and hotels through out Kihei that were available for renting also and were close to the ocean, but the beach across from our condo seemed to fit our wants the most. Also there are many condos and hotels along the west side of Maui that would have been nice, but we wanted to stay in southern Maui because of all our activities planned for southern Maui.
