Maui has a few towns on the island and we stayed in Kihei
which is on southern Maui. It is great little town, has a lot of
different condos that you can rent for your vacation. Also there are
several hotels and homes that can be rented as well. If you didn't
rent a car at the airport, there are a few locations in Kihei that you
can rent a car.
Kihei is an easy to navigate little town that has many different restaurants. Depending on where you go to eat will determine how much it will cost, as the food in Maui seems to be a little expensive on most things. Don't get me wrong, if you do a little searching in the towns you will find some great places to eat in Maui without having to pay a lot for the meal. Most of these places on off the main tourist locations, so don't be afraid to explore the towns some. Kihei also has a small super market if you need to do some grocery shopping if you are staying in a condo. We found the this grocery store has some good prices on things and some higher prices on other things, we usually traveled about 8 miles to go to Wal-mart and shop. There several parks and beaches in Kihei, that are great places to spend the day. Also since Kihei is in southern Maui it gets less rain in that area then the rest of Maui, which makes this an ideal place to vacation. Check out a few of these other Maui Sites:
