Maui Vacations, Maui Activities, Maui Rentals

Maui is one of the best places on earth to take a vacation in our opinion.  We enjoyed ours so much that we decided to bring up this web site to talk about our vacation and help others planning their trip.  We will show you the things we did while we were there and also show you a few things that we wish we would have had the time to do.  Easy navigation is available at the bottom of every page on this site for different aspects of our Maui vacation.

When you go on a vacation it seems that time flies and your trip is over before it ever started.  Maui is the second largest island in Hawaii and there are a lot of things to do and see.  Planning is very important to make sure that you are able to do the things you want while on the island. Maui activities consist of land activities, ocean activities and air activities.

When you take a Maui Vacation, it is like taking a vacation in paradise.  The beaches are beautiful and there are a lot of them around the island.  When you visit the beaches and swim in the ocean around Maui be sure to do so safely, as the waves can be quite large and the currents can be very strong.  We enjoyed our time on the beach across from the condo that we rented while there.  Just be sure to take notice of any signs that are posted on the beach as they warn of any dangers.  It is not uncommon to see signs showing strong currents, powerful waves and sometimes even warnings about man-o-war in the area. 

When taking a vacation in Maui your vacation can be as relaxing as you would like it to be, or as adventurous as you want it.  It is your vacation and its up to you to enjoy the way you want to.  Our excursion was a mix of relaxing and do some of the adventurous activities.  You will also find that there are activities for every budget so your vacation doesn't have to cost an arm and leg to enjoy it.

Biggest key to an enjoyable trip to Hawaii is doing some research prior to leaving.  There are many websites that offer discounts if you book the activity online.  This is what we did a few weeks before we left, that way we took advantage of the discounts plus we knew from day to day what we would be doing.  Plus if you already know where you are staying it is easier to book all the activities in areas that are close to where you are staying.  This will save you a lot of driving time from location to location.  Also remember to not over book or you will be running around with no time to rest.

We also booked a mini van to use for our 7 days on the island. The car rental location is easy to find right outside of the airport and they have shuttle buses to take you a few blocks to where the cars are actually located.  Otherwise you can catch a cab to your hotel and find a place to rent a car in the town that you are staying in.  It comes down to preferences, we liked knowing that our mini van rental was already taken care of prior to us getting to Maui.  Just know that you will have to sign the rental agreement so be sure to read it closely.  There are a few roads on the island that will terminate your rental agreement if you drive on them without being in a 4x4 vehicle.  Also be sure to inspect the rental car for any damage and make a note of it prior to leaving the rental lot, unless you like to pay for damage that you didn't cause.
